I tried the optimal route. It didn't work out.
It's working out to be fine so far. The tempest would still require some sort of slot or bonus change however. ____ Minmatar Children of Sol

CCP is going to balances these problems however they feel like, and the odds of having a complete proposal implemented are slim. So I think it's more important that we rally around one set of ideas and keep hammering on it, in the hopes that something is done about it.
So lets keep Astro's thread going. 
In terms of database modifications, there about the same. The main issue with Astrophobic's is the falloff increase (with fall off being so large, and so many ships with fall off bonuses, somethings going to give) and the fix with the tempest, without really understanding why the tempest and artillery fails (combination of EHP, tracking, Range) and the aftermath to the Maelstrom as a result. I guess if you want to raise the profile of the issue, then supporting that thread won't hurt, however if your looking for a real/lasting fix, then I believe mine probably works best in the long run. ____ Domination Balance (Or how we fix the Tempest) |

Indeed, but being told to go home because I wasn't following eve-o sometime after the "I accidently the entire market" dev blog is a bit rich.
Also, you decrease the rate at which one fires by (100% + the damage increase% / 100% which in this case = 66%) to correctly compensate for a damage mod increase of 50%, or increase the damage mod by 100% to match a 50% decreased in ROF.
EG.
100 damage every two seconds. = 50 dps
Increase damage by 50%, decrease the rof by 50%
150 damage every 2.5 seconds = 60 dps not 50 dps.
Now try that with 66%
Like I said, calculator... it's pretty useful.
